Hey walla walla

ok, so tonight was pretty cool... most tuesday nights tend to lean towards the cool side anyway, but tonight had a special coolness addition, especially at roughly 6:30 for those who live in caringbah, when two strange gorilla suit clad people were tramping around the streets with a bucket. All I have to say is; Those things get really really warm, and then they become damp, and then they become slippery... but in the end everyone was happy, especially some random guy who was loading stuff into a van.

Also, if you haven't yet deciphered the secret message in my last blog,. then obviously you're not trying hard enough... the first person who tells me what it is will win something terrific, although it may just be a can of mushy green peas, because I have a can of mushy green peas, and I don't think anyone in my house would ever want them. maybe if I spray paint it gold....

and in other news, a large iguana.

Shag out.

find the secret message... it's not hard.

it has been quite a while since I've been writing,
so long in fact that I should probably write something witty and clever..

I live inside of a house, that I don't even know the colour of. it could be
teal, or something.. I would have no idea.

today I started to build a table, from the old decking boards we have.
it's not great, because half of the timber is rotten and/or splitting,
making it difficult to work with, or completely useless,.. mainly the latter.
every other piece I pull out I pretty much have to throw out.

fantastically, I have decided to write something entertaining,
other than the stuff I've done today, I'll tell you a story about
rhubarb, or perhaps something actually exciting.

like when I was a little kid in primary school, in year 3 or
umm, maybe year 2 even.. I just don't remember that bit.
now anyway, it was the swimming carnival, and I was on the pool edge
cheering at the swimmers, or maybe just being crazy, and I
had to go back to my bag and get my lunch, because I was hungry..

yaks are quite cool. On with the story! so as I was saying, I needed to
eat, so I started to turn around, but the pool edge was slippery, so as I
turned my feet fell out from under me, and I fell into the pool.
?

I was still wearing all my clothes, and I swam over to the ladder,

and pulled myself out of the pool, everyone laughing at me, and then
most people stopped laughing and just stared, which was a bit odd.

however I soon found out, after I touched my chin and found
unusual amounts of blood on it...
now I don't remember too much from here on, just that I
got a bunch of stitches in my chin, not that I could see them,
right now you can still see the scar from it, my beard grows around it,
yet it's still covered most of the time,.. next time I shave just look up.

Storytime

huddle around now children, I'm going to regale you with a story from my youth, a story filled with adventure and excitement. I had all but forgotten this until a few days ago, and now I'm going to pass on this story on to you, so that some day you might tell your children, and they might tell theirs, and then they can probably just forget about it, and I won't mind anyway, because I'll probably be old and senile by then.

I was still a young boy at the time, not old and wrinkled like you see me now, but youthful, and full of excitement and joy, rather than the bitter cynicism that comes with age.. It was a warm night, in the early weeks of summer, and I and my brothers were sleeping at my grandparents house on the banks of the hacking river. I had picked for myself the top bunk, as I was used to sleeping on the top bunk at my home in miranda, above my brother who often referred to me as "Luke" (being as that was and is my name). It had been a wonderful day, filled with fishing, playing with deadly octopi, swimming, and watching the grouper who had taken up residence in the baths just outside my grandparents house, and I readily embraced the warmth and comfort of the doona, and soon found myself asleep, and dreaming the things that young boys dream. Suddenly I woke, and time seemed to be much slower than usual, I felt as if my whole body were weightless, and I was able turn my head just quickly enough to see the chest of drawers that was beside the bed come rushing up towards me at an incredible speed. KaBlaM! the heavy thud of my head striking the corner of the chest of drawers filled the night, and within seconds my grandma was there to see if I was alright. I stumbled to my feet, slightly groggy after the impact with the chest of drawers and the floor, and crawled back on top of the bed, quickly falling asleep again as if nothing had happened at all.

Now in case you were wondering about the moral of the story, it is this...
Install bed rails... or sleep on the bottom bunk.
